What Is a Good Wonderlic Test Score?

Wonderlic Cognitive Ability Test scores (WPT test scores) are calculated by adding together the number of correctly answered questions that are answered by the candidate in the allotted time. There is not complex system in place here: if you take the WPT-R (the full-length Wonderlic test), and answer 45 out of 50 correctly, within the allotted 12 minute time-limit, your score will be 45. Three is no single definition of a "good" score: it all depends on the goals of the employer or educational institution using the test.

Every question is weighted equally, and you are not penalized for giving an incorrect answer. This means, that if you don’t know the answer, you will not risk damaging your score by taking a guess and choosing your best-guessed answer.

The test is then standardized into a scoring system that allows the employer to easily compare different candidate scores against professional standards, and other candidates competing for the same role.
