The NWEA 5th Grade MAP is an assessment exam administered primarily in the United States. The test measures students' abilities on a scale that is both objective and subjective, thus allowing parents and educators to appraise both individual and classroom progress.

The MAP test is an adaptive test. Because the difficulty of these tests changes throughout the test, becoming harder or easier after a correct or incorrect answer, the number of questions in each section is not fixed. It is also worth noting that the MAP test does not have a time limit.
