About the Community College of Rhode Island
The Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI) is geared towards both full-time and part-time students. The focus of CCRI is on vocational-technical areas, as well as academics. CCRI Tuition & Financial Aid
CCRI tuition varies depending on whether the applicant is in-state, regional, or out-of-state. For in-state students studying full-time, the price is $1,975 per semester, for regional students, the price is $2,963, while for out-of-state the price is $5,590.
CCRI offers financial aid in several forms, including the federal college work-study program, and the Rhode Island Supplemental Grant. The college also provides over 70 scholarships.

CCRI Application Stages
A new student applying to CCRI is required to fill out a standard application form, either online or by mail. The form includes a personal section, a high school history section, and a college history section.
Once accepted to the college, students are then required to take the CCRI ACCUPLACER Test. This is to help the college in placing the prospective student in the correct learning group. Achieving a high score on the ACCUPLACER can mean bypassing any prerequisites and not having to add unnecessary semesters to your college career. Structure of the CCRI ACCUPLACER Test
The CCRI ACCUPLACER is a computer-generated, multiple-choice test that is untimed. The assessment usually takes between 2.5 and 3 hours to complete. The essay section, however, is timed, and you are given 45 minutes to complete this task.
To take the test, you need to schedule an appointment by contacting the Advising and Counseling Office at Warwick Campus, Lincoln Campus, Providence Campus, or Newport County Campus.
